Why Futsal
Futsal vs outdoor football
A study shows players get 800% more ball contact, 6 times more shots, 3 times more goals.Futsal is the ideal environment for producing versatile and technically exciting players, emphasis on the key skills of the game (passing, dribbling, control, defending, teamwork, ball retention and finishing.
The Futsal ball spends more time on the floor (as it has less bounce) which helps with development skills, technique and control. The Futsal ball's characteristics means a player has to use their skill & timing to find the 'sweet spot' rather than the ball’s bounce to propel it.The indoor court is smaller than a football field and the number of players involved is only 5 per team, players are constantly placed in situations where they must improvise and find solutions to the pressures of limited space.
Players are literally forced to use fantastic close control & passing techniques, playing with their heads up and inventing skills, wonderful dribbles & feints to survive.
Due to the small court and limited number of players on at one time, this allows more opportunities on the ball, quickly builds confidence, technique, skills and decision-making.
Futsal players are often more skillful than outdoor soccer players as the sport demands skill, quick reflexes, fast thinking, pinpoint passing, constant movement where players learn to play all positions 'all over the court'. The speed of play is such that you are forced to make quicker technical and tactical decisions.
